Verses for my Maggie (2003-2022)

To my Maggie (2003-2022)

Pe o strada lungă scurtă
Maggie se ducea venind
Într-o tăcere profundă
Cu mare atenție moțăind.
În umbra unui felinar
O auzeam ușor torcând
Strecurată într-un sertar
Neexistând,
Existând.

Maggie (2003-2022)

Just after her 19-th birthday...

RIP my love!!!

Maggie (2003-2022). Till we meet again!

Maggie lived a full, complete life. She got a litter of four, O'Malley, Dusty, Copperetta, and Mixie (the last two are still living, quite ancient themselves). In human years, Maggie definitely got to be more than 90 years old. In the last days of her life she was extremely weak and thin, yet carried on like a true and brave samurai! In the day prior to her passing, she gathered all her strength and will power, jumped over a tall window, got outside, and waited for us to come from school in the sunlight of a beautiful day. If Maggie would be a painting, I could not characterize her otherwise than a masterpiece.

Our Norwegian forest cat - that's a rare sighting, about half a mile away from home, on a field, probably hunting some rodents...

Nana in memoriam - after 10 years

10 years ago (December 22, 2010) our beloved sheltie Nana died. She will never be forgotten - her concentrated personhood will accompany our humanity, our love, our dreams and our memories forever.

Dusty, beloved feline and family member (April 14, 2004 - May 19, 2020)

So, yesterday we came from school and found Dusty dead by his favorite chair, after 16+ years of being a loved family member. It was in a sense so peaceful, even his death without any forewarning (probably a heart attack) was a considerate act of ultimate love. RIP my love! HE LIVED A GOOD AND LONG LIFE!
